There is a gap in the experience needed to build your custom home. The gap causes time and money to be wasted. It creates stress and anxiety for homeowners. It's a missing piece of the house-building puzzle that's been there for too long.

What's in the Gap

Building a new home may be one of the most expensive and complicated projects of your life. The risks are substantial and long-term. You'll live with your decisions for years. Yet, this huge project doesn't come with an operating manual. There are no introductory seminars or prerequisites that prepare homeowners for the project. We dive in, try to figure it out, and inevitably, make rookie mistakes.

What's missing is homeowner education. Your construction team will work with you to plan and build your home. They are experts in planning and construction. What's not a part of their job description is helping homeowners become more prepared and informed. Most builders are not educators and may not have been in your shoes.

Closing the Gap

We're homeowners who have experienced the frustration and wasted time and money caused by the gap. We've been in your shoes multiple times and have learned what homeowners need. We are educators who created Build Livable to fill the gap and help homeowners get informed, be prepared, and make better decisions. In the end, it can save your time and money.
